About Lionsoft
They become better when people, processes, information and technology work together. Lionsoft exists to make that true — for businesses, governments and public institutions.
Who We Are
Lionsoft is an organizational transformation and business technology firm based in Kenya. We work with private businesses, corporates, government ministries, county governments, state corporations, public hospitals, universities, TVET institutions, development organizations and complex institutions that need their operations to work the way their ambitions require.
We are not a software house. We are not a systems integrator. We are a firm whose central discipline is understanding how organizations actually work — and designing better ways for them to work. Technology is one of the instruments we bring to that work, and the most important one only when the design says it is.
Why We Exist
For two decades, organizations in Kenya and across Africa have bought technology to fix problems that were never, first of all, technology problems. Slow service, lost records, approval bottlenecks, invisible backlogs — these are organizational problems wearing a technical costume. The systems arrived. The friction stayed.
Lionsoft exists to correct the sequence. Understand the organization first. Design the better way of working second. Enable it with technology only where technology genuinely earns its place. Then keep improving. That sequence — the Lions Method™ — is the firm’s intellectual foundation.
How We Think
We work down the chain, never up it. Each layer is examined and designed before the one below it is touched. Technology that skips the chain inherits the problems it was meant to solve.
Understand first. Design second. Enable third. Optimize continuously.
The Method
The Lions Method™ is Lionsoft's proprietary transformation methodology. It is the shape of every engagement, from a single process redesign to a multi-year institutional programme.
Understand Current Reality
Not how it is described in documents — how work actually moves through it. We map the real system: the people, the handoffs, the information paths, the controls, and the places where performance is being lost.
Create Better Ways of Working
Design comes before technology. We define the future operating model, the redesigned processes, the roles and the controls — so that what is eventually implemented has somewhere meaningful to go.
Make New Ways Possible
Process, people and technology together. We configure, integrate, automate or build — deliberately, and only where technology genuinely earns its place in the redesigned way of working.
Keep Improving
New ways of working decay without stewardship. We keep the system measured, the owners accountable and the improvement cycle running — so performance compounds instead of fading after go-live.
What Makes Lionsoft Different
We start with the organizational problem, not the software product.
We connect people, processes, information and technology.
We make better decisions before expensive implementation.
Buy, configure, integrate, automate, build — or don't.
Solutions must work in the real operating environment.
Built in Kenya, with an understanding of African operational realities.
Performance, risk, cost, visibility and service delivery — the leadership agenda.
Leadership
Lionsoft is led by practitioners who combine business strategy, process improvement, project leadership and technology to help organizations solve complex operational challenges and build sustainable capability.

Founder & Managing Director
Eric Owuor Okello is the Founder and Managing Director of Lionsoft. He leads the firm’s strategic direction and oversees its work across organizational transformation, business process improvement, project delivery and technology-enabled change.
His work sits at the intersection of organizational design, process improvement, digital transformation, information management and technology enablement — helping businesses, governments, public institutions, healthcare and education organizations, and development organizations improve how they work.
His approach is grounded in a simple belief: organizations should understand how work actually happens before investing in new systems or major transformation initiatives. This philosophy underpins the Lions Method™ — Lionsoft’s proprietary framework of Diagnose, Design, Enable and Optimize — which helps organizations move from operational complexity and fragmented processes to structured, scalable and sustainable ways of working.
Eric combines a background in business, marketing, project leadership and technology with practical experience developing and implementing digital solutions for organizations. His work focuses on helping leaders identify operational friction, improve processes, strengthen information flows and make informed decisions about where technology can create lasting value.
As Managing Director, Eric is responsible for Lionsoft’s overall strategy, client relationships and transformation engagements. He leads Organizational Health Checks™, process improvement engagements, digital transformation programmes and business technology implementations — translating complex operational challenges into practical improvement roadmaps that connect people, processes, information and technology.
“We do not begin with software. We begin with the organization. Once we understand how work actually happens, we can design changes that improve performance and make technology serve the organization — not the other way around.”
— Eric Owuor Okello, Founder & Managing Director
His professional philosophy: the most successful organizations are not necessarily those with the most technology, but those with the clearest processes, the strongest operational discipline and the ability to continuously improve.

Who Lionsoft Serves
Where We’re Going
Kenya is not a limitation on what Lionsoft can do — it is where the firm learned its discipline. Kenyan organizations operate in some of the most demanding environments in the world: multi-stakeholder, resource-constrained, accountability-heavy, fast-moving. A practice that works there works almost anywhere.
Lionsoft is ready to work with organizations across East Africa, with international development organizations operating in the region, and with institutions that need a transformation partner who treats their complexity as the subject of the work, not an inconvenience to it.
The first step is understanding where the system is creating friction — and what better looks like.
