Product Philosophy
Organizations often purchase software before understanding the operational problem they are trying to solve. The system arrives, and the organization’s friction arrives with it — now at software prices.
Lionsoft takes a different approach. We first understand: people, process, information, systems and controls. Then we determine what should change. Technology is considered only after the underlying problem has been understood.
We do not begin with a software product. We begin with the organization.
Vendor-neutral by principle
The diagnostic’s technology direction can be any of these — chosen by the evidence, not by a catalogue:

Who It's For
Organizations experiencing rapid growth or increasing operational complexity.
Organizations dealing with fragmented processes, systems or information.
Organizations seeking to improve service delivery, operational efficiency, visibility and institutional capability.
Organizations managing complex workflows, records, service delivery and operational processes.
Universities, colleges and TVET institutions managing increasingly complex administrative and academic operations.
Organizations coordinating multiple programmes, stakeholders, processes and information flows.
Timing
It is designed to be done before the commitment, not after the invoice. If any of the following is true, the diagnostic is the higher-value first investment.
What We Assess
The Organizational Health Check examines the organization as a connected system — not a list of complaints. Each dimension is assessed on its own, and in relation to the others.

Standard Scope
The standard scope is deliberately focused: deep enough to reveal where performance is genuinely being lost, narrow enough to complete in one or two weeks.
For organizations requiring multiple departments, multiple business units, enterprise-wide, county-wide or ministry-wide assessment, extensive stakeholder engagement, many processes, multiple facilities or complex system landscapes: extended organizational and institutional assessments are scoped separately according to complexity.

Understand the organization and define the diagnostic focus.
Examine people, processes, information, systems and controls.
Identify the major sources of friction, risk and performance loss.
Provide practical priorities and a transformation roadmap.
What You Receive
Your final output is designed for decision-making — not simply documentation. Each deliverable is written to be used by leadership, not filed away.
A concise leadership-level assessment of the organization's current operating environment.
A structured view of the major operational friction points identified during the assessment.
Identification of bottlenecks, duplication, unnecessary handoffs, delays and workflow weaknesses.
Review of the systems supporting the assessed processes, with gaps, duplication, limitations and integration opportunities identified.
Review of information flows, visibility, accountability, controls and key operational risks.
Identification of the highest-value opportunities for improvement.
A practical view of how selected processes, workflows and operating practices could work better.
Recommendations on whether the organization should buy, configure, integrate, automate, build, optimize — or do nothing.
A prioritized list of what should be addressed first, second and later.
A practical high-level roadmap showing the recommended direction following the assessment.
And, in the room
Executive Presentation & Discussion — Lionsoft presents the key findings and recommendations to the organization’s leadership or designated decision-makers, and works the decisions out with the people who will make them.
A Taste of the Diagnostic
Before you book, explore the six dimensions the diagnostic examines. Which signals sound familiar?
Guided self-assessment
Mark the statements that describe your organization today. This is a structured exploration of the six dimensions the diagnostic examines — not a score.
0 of 18 signals flagged
These signals are a starting point. A Lionsoft Organizational Health Check™ provides a structured executive assessment of how your organization actually works — with prioritized findings and a practical roadmap.
Government & Public Institutions
For government ministries, county governments, public agencies, state corporations, public hospitals, universities and other complex institutions, Lionsoft can tailor the diagnostic scope to institutional structure, mandate, service-delivery environment and procurement requirements.
Complex institutional assessments are scoped separately — with clearly defined work, deliverable-based milestones, transparent documentation and capacity transfer, structured to support public procurement processes.
What Happens After
The diagnostic is not a mandatory gateway to buying Lionsoft technology. Findings may lead to any of the following — including none of them at this time.
The organization implements the recommendations internally, with or without further support from Lionsoft.
Lionsoft helps redesign priority processes and operating practices, and sequences the work.
Appropriate systems, automation, integration or digital platforms are introduced — where the findings justify them.
Performance is monitored, measured and continuously improved.
The journey, when you want it
The Organizational Health Check™ is Lionsoft’s flagship entry point into the Lions Method™ — it is the DIAGNOSE stage, executed as a focused executive product. From there, the journey follows the method:
Standard Organizational Health Check™
KES 150,000
Includes the standard diagnostic scope
Typical duration: 1–2 weeks.
Complex, multi-department, enterprise and institutional assessments are scoped separately according to organizational complexity.
Questions
No. It is a focused executive organizational diagnostic. It is not a survey, a calculator, a superficial health score or a technology assessment on its own. It examines the organization as a connected system — people, processes, information, systems, controls and performance — through structured interviews, process discovery and assessment.
The standard Organizational Health Check™: a one-organization (or defined business unit) diagnostic covering up to 3–5 priority processes and 5–7 key stakeholder interviews, including review of relevant systems, workflows, information flows and controls, the ten deliverables, and the executive presentation and discussion. Complex, multi-department, enterprise and institutional assessments are scoped separately according to organizational complexity.
Typically one to two weeks, depending on the size and complexity of the organization and the access available.
Executive sponsorship, a small number of stakeholder interviews, and reasonable access to processes, documents and systems. The diagnostic is designed to be low-disruption.
Not automatically. The findings may point to internal improvement, process redesign, governance changes, technology procurement, integration, automation, custom development, organizational change — or no immediate technology investment at all. The Organizational Health Check™ is not a gateway to buying Lionsoft technology.
Yes. For ministries, county governments, public agencies, state corporations, public hospitals, universities and other complex institutions, Lionsoft can tailor the diagnostic scope to institutional structure, mandate, service-delivery environment and procurement requirements. Complex institutional assessments are scoped separately.
